I have made countless mistakes, stupid decisions, and been selfish on multiple occasions. With that being said, I realized this- Maternity does not determine a motherly relationship unconditional love does. These are the things that most people get from their mothers, and what some get from other figures. The age I’m at right now requires a lot of support, love and encouragement to get by. Stress is almost overbearing while reality gives me slaps in the face daily. I am currently in one of the most important phases of my life that basically dictates my future. Recently, however I have come to a realization about motherly relationships. I continued wishing women who were important in my life a happy Mother’s Day and let them know how much I appreciated them. I accepted my situation, but I didn’t approve. I was so happy to see that there was a happy family, but as I said earlier- I didn’t have what they had. When I went to my friends’ houses and saw how their mother and them were so close, it tore me up on the inside. Since there was no possible way to obtain this relationship, I beat myself up over it. Mothers who describe their pregnancy say that the bond that develops during pregnancy is one that cannot be felt with anyone else. For the longest time, I believed birth was the true binder between a mother and child. I desperately craved this mother-daughter relationship that couldn’t be broken.

From my father, step-mothers, grandmothers, my friends’ moms or close relatives, I could never find full satisfaction with my situation-especially on Mother’s Day.
Other people, both men and women, assumed a motherly role they didn’t have to take on. "M'$" with Lil Wayne is just plain filthy (in a great way), while "Everyday" with Miguel, Rod Stewart, and Mark Ronson is melodically strong.įor the last 19 years, I haven’t had my blood mother in my life. The Dirty South influence on the track sets the song apart, but it shares a platform with several incredible group projects: "Electric Body" with Schoolboy Q is appealingly groovy and "Jukebox Joints," featuring Kanye West and Joe Fox, has “Yeezy production" written all over it. Juicy J, an executive producer of the album, also collaborates with Rocky on "Wavybone," which also features verses from UGK, including both Bun B and the late Pimp C. "Fine Whine" featuring Future, M.I.A., and Joe Fox, along with "Pharsyde" featuring Joe Fox, add to the album's aura. The album as a whole has a psychedelically inspired feel to it, epitomized by " L$D," where Rocky drops rapping and sings about a mixture of love and drugs. Rocky flaunts his versatility, while also sticking close to same style of production fans fell in love with in his early work. The next and fourth promotional single is the track “Everyday“ featuring Rod Stewart, Mark Ronson and Miguel, released on May 8th.AT.$AP makes answering that question easy.
And I hope I get to do it for a very long timeĪ new track called “M’$“ was premiered 8 April 2015 and is confirmed as the third promotional single to come from the new LP. I’m named after Rakim, and I’m finally facing what it means: I was born to do this shit. Like slang for ‘Allah.’ It’s the return of the god MC. I can’t give nothing else awayĭuring an interview with GQ, A$AP confirmed the nam of the album. Three years ago, I did a song with Twigs. Illz is thinking right now, like, “You know who it is!” Uh… Alright, fine. During an interview with Billboard, Rocky confirmed that the album includes promising collaboration with FKA Twigs, Lykke Li and Clams Casino. It comes preceded by the “Multiply” featuring Juicy J, and the most recent “Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2 (LPFJ2)”. It’s scheduled to be released on digital retailers on 2 June 2015 via ASAP Worldwide, Polo Grounds, and RCA Records. “At.$AP” is the upcoming second studio album by American rapper A$AP Rocky is around the corner.
